Job Overview

We are looking for a Back end WordPress Developer to implement and optimize secure and high speed websites for our clients. You will be responsible for back-end development and implementation including the implementation of Web Hosting, Domains, DNS Zone records, WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.

To ensure success as a WordPress Developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of back-end programming languages, theme customization, plugin development and strong code documentation skills. You should have strong written & verbal English skills.

You will be working on solving a range of problems working in a small team. If you are looking for challenging work which can help you learn, expand and broaden your knowledge working with clients in the US directly, come and work with us. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage Multiple sites through Hosting Control Panel
  • Experienced in Hosting environments like Siteground, Kinsta etc
  • Manage site updates deployment, testing and uptime monitoring on sites.
  • Troubleshoot Wordpress site errors
  • Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
  • Building custom integrations with 3rd party API’s (REST API’s, JSON, XML)
  • Deploy automated tools and manual checks to ensure all hosted sites perform optimally
  • Monitor site audits and ensure all sites run optimally
  • Optimize page load speeds, database cleanup and plugin updates on a monthly basis
  • Write shortcodes or build custom plugins for enhancing functionality
  • Effectively document and maintain version control
  • Implement hardened security on Wordpress sites and implement malware prevention tools
  • Designing and building Wordpress Projects based on client requirements (website, theme, plugin)
  • Document SOP’s and protocols on security & site maintenance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field from a reputed Institute
  • Excellent written communication skills in English
  • Highly organized – can manage prioritizing multiple tasks and tickets
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/PHP/CSS/ HTML is required.
  • Site Migration, Malware troubleshooting/ clean up - Plesk/cPanel site management, ticketing and resolution.
  • Clean code writing skills, structured code using coding framework.
  • Technical SEO knowledge will be a plus
  • Experience on Google Cloud Platform or AWS will be a plus

At least 4 hours overlap with US Central time will be needed. If you won't be available, please refrain from applying.
