Design, implement, optimize, secure, and troubleshoot high-density Wi-Fi environments, including guest and resident deployments in hospitality and healthcare settings. Use RF planning and monitoring tools, develop technical documentation and network diagrams, recommend Cisco, Meraki, or Aruba solutions, support scalability, and guide engineers and stakeholders on emerging technologies such as Wi-Fi 7, IoT connectivity, and private 5G.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Wireless SME to support our Operations
Centre. The engineer shall be the primary SME for our modernised site wireless
network. This role requires strong expertise in network engineering and site
wireless technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Expertise
in wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi (802.11 standards), cellular
(4G/5G) would be a benefit, and emerging wireless protocols.
- Fully
understand design, implementation, and optimization of wireless networks
for performance, coverage, and security (incl authentication).
- Skilled
in diagnosing connectivity issues, interference, and bandwidth problems
using tools like spectrum analysers and wireless monitoring software.
- Strong
understanding of wireless security protocols (WPA3, encryption,
authentication) and compliance standards.
- Planning
for high-density environments and ensuring network scalability.
- Familiarity
with major wireless vendors (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, etc.) and ability to
recommend solutions based on business needs.
- Create
technical documentation, network diagrams, and adhere to industry
standards.
- Work
with cross-functional teams and provide guidance or training to engineers
and stakeholders.
- Understanding/experience
of visitor guest wireless best practices and deployments.
- Understanding/experience
of resident/hospitality guest wireless best practices and deployments to
ensure Care Home residents have ability to use smart technology as they
would at home.
- Stay
updated on new wireless technologies like Wi-Fi 7, IoT connectivity, and
private 5G networks.
