Partner with the best

In this role you will be reporting to the OEM Applications CoE leader, and you will be part of software architects and software developers team which designs and develops customer focused, high performing, innovative and scalable end-to-end applications for monitoring and improving industrial assets. You will collaborate extensively with internal product owners, subject matter experts, various product stakeholders, software development partners, software engineers, across regional teams, to create unique products. OEM Applications CoE team is responsible for implementing solutions that are aligned with our future and extending shared platforms and solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on a variety of technologies, with passion and willing to experiment edge solutions.

As Web app developer you will be responsible for:

  • Design and develop scalable, high performance and secure software solutions for remote diagnostic services (data manipulation, aggregation, and visualization)
  • Design and develop high performance and secure API-based services, to expose data to internal application front-end and to allow integration with 3rd party platforms
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design, in collaboration with Baker Hughes UX experts
  • Work with DevOps Engineers and Cloud Architect to integrate any new code into existing CI/CD pipelines for software deployment in cloud (AWS / Azure)
  • Contribute to architecture, design, support, implementation and troubleshooting of software systems to deliver engineering solutions for customers
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, while ensuring system security
  • Collaborate with software development partners in the design and development of complex software solutions
  • Identify and proposing new innovations for strategic developments to support changing business needs

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). A minimum 3 years of professional experience.
  • Professional knowledge of multiple languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python.
  • Professional skills for API-based services development
  • Good knowledge of Java Spring Boot framework, Angular framework and/or other framework for web app front-end development, HTML and CSS, SQL and in general of the most common relational database like Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle principles, CI/CD concepts and best practices, Agile methodologies and understanding of Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure)
  • Professional proficiency in English
