As a Mortgage Specialist – Vice President in the International Mortgage Solutions team within J.P. Morgan Private Bank, you will help deliver luxury residential real estate mortgage solutions for ultra-high-net-worth clients. You will partner with internal stakeholders to originate, structure, underwrite, and service regulated and unregulated residential mortgages, with a primary focus on the UK market. You will guide clients and internal teams through requirements, documentation, suitability, and affordability assessments. You will contribute to a high-touch client experience and a culture of collaboration, risk discipline, and accountability.
Job responsibilities- Partner with Client Advisors and Lending Solutions on luxury residential real estate opportunities and align solutions to client needs and bank requirements
- Own end-to-end delivery of UK and French regulated and unregulated residential mortgages, from fact-find through ongoing servicing
- Assess suitability and affordability using client information and financial documentation in line with relevant policies and regulations
- Collaborate with Credit Risk on underwriting, approvals, and annual portfolio reviews
- Coordinate with the Mortgage Support Team to ensure applications progress efficiently and accurately
- Manage ongoing portfolio maintenance, including covenants, insurance, maturities, and client enquiries
- Educate Client Advisors and senior stakeholders on market practices, requirements, and processes through established forums
- Demonstrable experience delivering residential mortgage solutions within a financial institution
- Proven experience advising and supporting ultra-high-net-worth clients with complex needs
- Strong understanding of the UK residential real estate market and mortgage origination process
- Working knowledge of regulated and unregulated mortgage requirements and end-to-end execution
- Ability to interpret financial documentation to support suitability and affordability assessments
- Experience partnering with credit risk and underwriting stakeholders in a controlled environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across seniority levels
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Strong analytical, organisational, and documentation skills
- CeMAP qualification is a must
- Experience with French residential mortgages and related regulatory considerations
- Exposure to additional EMEA mortgage markets
- Experience supporting portfolio reviews, covenant monitoring, and ongoing risk management
- Familiarity with private banking or wealth management lending frameworks
- Track record of contributing to process improvement and service excellence in a high-touch environment
