As a Credit Risk Management Governance Lead (Vice President), you will strengthen the Private Bank credit risk governance framework by maintaining and enhancing policies, procedures, controls, committee governance, and issues management, while coordinating internal, external, and regulatory examinations and providing independent challenge across locations and seniority levels. The Wealth Management Risk Management Governance team oversees regulatory requirements and internal controls for Global WM Credit Risk and partners closely with Credit Risk approval/analysis, Audit, Compliance, Controls, Legal, and the business to drive efficient, effective processes; you will also lead responses to audit and regulatory inquiries, run exam-related meetings, and deliver clear reporting and communications to senior management in a highly visible role. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead credit risk governance initiatives and associated change management efforts.
  • Coordinate end-to-end regulatory exam, audit, and testing for PB Credit Risk.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for regulators/auditors and testing team, including leading meetings and coordinating responses to inquiries.
  • Draft high-quality written responses to exam requests and consultation papers aligned to firm policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Assess credit risk controls, document observations, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Drive timely remediation and sustainable control enhancements for identified issues and findings.
  • Strengthen committee and forum governance, including preparing materials, agendas, and minutes.
  • Maintain transparent tracking, reporting, and escalation of audit/exam matters, including emerging risks and governance concerns.
  • Build working knowledge of end-to-end lending/credit processes, partnering with front office, middle office, Legal, Compliance, and Risk/Control teams to address risk and regulatory exposure.
  • Participate actively in the Firm’s innovation programs.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 8+ years in auditing/accounting/internal controls/reg strategy/compliance/legal or consulting and/or credit analysis, with a credit risk focus.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk concepts and controls; underwriting and/or credit approval experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Wealth Management business model, processes, and operating model; able to navigate complex methods across products/tasks.
  • Strong written/verbal communication (including self-editing) with regulators and senior management; maintains professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong project/time management and problem-solving; works independently and collaboratively, adapts to shifting priorities, takes ownership, performs under pressure, and delivers accurate results to tight deadlines.
  • Experience in building relationships across all levels, collaborates across teams, providing credible challenge on initiatives/processes/products, and translating complex analysis into actionable, data-driven insights.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Written and spoken German is a plus.
  • Advanced degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and credit risk infrastructure tools.
