Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Origination & Project Management
    • Lead the origination, due diligence and fundraising / execution of real estate commingled funds, fund continuation vehicles, joint ventures, investment clubs, portfolio recaps and corporate M&A in Europe
    • Build and manage relationships with and maintain a database / market map of investment managers, platforms and operators in Europe
    • Liaise and coordinate with distribution bankers globally to form an understanding of demand for European product
  • Able to function independently and provide active guidance and direction to a global team of junior staff (Associates and Analysts) as required to ensure the following responsibilities are well handled:
    • Conduct due diligence on and underwrite potential managers and mandates
    • Prepare marketing materials, valuation models / financial analyses and transaction documents
    • Address investor due diligence questions
    • Liaise and coordinate with third-party consultants and advisors
    • Coordinate the overall fundraising process and timeline globally, including client and distribution banker management, roadshow management, etc.
  • Distribution Support
    • Support distribution bankers as a subject matter expert on European real estate product
    • Attend investor meetings and roadshows as required

Qualifications:

PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Vice President-level equivalent with 9+ years’ experience in real estate within a private equity fund, institutional investor, investment consultant and / or investment bank.
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance or Business Administration from a leading university
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time
  • Fluency in English is required. Additional European languages are beneficial.
  • Personal and professional integrity
