JOB PURPOSE:
The energy division is seeking a Vice President to play a pivotal role in driving the delegate sales’ strategic and operational success. As the VP, you will work directly under the supervision of the President, focusing on driving organic, profitable growth and ensuring alignment with industry-leading practices globally.
What You Will Bring:
• Strategic foresight and robust leadership skills to guide large-scale projects and teams towards achieving the delegate sales vision and stretch targets.
• Commitment to steering the delegate sales teams towards successful, sustainable, and innovative practices, making a significant impact on the revenue path.
• As VP will be responsible for managing the Delegate Sales Teams on our energy events.
• You will work closely with the Leadership Team to transform the brand of the delegate sales team and raise the profile of the function internally and with our key clients.
• The ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative and have the ability to influence and implement change at a senior level with a clear strategy to grow the annual 27 million dollar budget.

As the VP, you will be at the heart of delegate sales revenue, driving initiatives that not only lead but transform the energy industry. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a significant impact and thrives in dynamic environments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Sales Performance: Achieving and exceeding budgeted sales targets through effective delegate acquisition strategies.
• Influencing – Guiding, influencing and collaborating with VP and SVP colleagues across the Energy portfolio to develop strategies to maximise revenue
• Client Relationship Management: Building strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Market Research: Identifying new opportunities, market trends, and industry insights to optimise delegate sales strategies.
• Lead Generation: Proactively creating data acquisition campaigns to expand the client base and maximise event attendance.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with marketing, and other sales teams to ensure seamless execution of sales campaigns.
• Reporting and Analysis: Establishing regular reports on sales performance, pipeline activity, and forecasting to management and collecting data to refine future sales plans.
• Software: Ensuring all sales processes and systems are adhered to as per company best practice.
• Event Expertise: Having in-depth knowledge of the events or conferences being promoted to effectively match delegate campaigns with the event offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
• Strong background in event sales and marketing.
• Extensive experience of managing delegate sales teams and knowledge of impactful delegate acquisition strategies.
• Be able to create a manageable definition of a Key Account and deliver an appropriate growth strategy.
• Strong leadership qualities to effectively lead and guide teams.
Technical / Functional
• Goal driven approach.
• Project Management experience.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Ability to create and manage a sales pipeline/budget/P&L – provide weekly reports with an accurate forecast.
• Experience in the use of databases (preferably Salesforce) in both mass and targeted sales campaigns.
• Knowledge of the energy industry a distinct advantage.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Customer focused.
• Excellent command of written and spoken (business) English – other languages could be an advantage.
• Sound commercial awareness, excellent organisational skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organisation.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
