Reuters is looking for a talented Visuals Producer to join our digital team. The candidate for this position will ensure that Reuters most engaging visual journalism is showcased across our digital properties, including on our news app, Reuters.com, our social media handles and offerings for our media and agency clients. The ideal candidate has experience working on multidisciplinary teams to create rich, visual experiences for our global audience. This role will require journalistic judgment, visual creativity and innovation while ensuring accuracy, clarity, and speed.

This position will be based in London or Barcelona.

About the Role

As our Visuals Producer, you will:

  • Edit and package pictures and news presentations for our client and consumer products
  • Write and edit captions and headlines consistent with Reuters style
  • Drive new ideas and innovations for our digital platforms 
  • Adhere to Reuters Trust Principles and standards

 

About You

You're a fit for the role of Visuals Producer if you have:

  • 3-5 years of picture editing, packaging, and production experience within the news industry
  • Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
  • Digital design and layout skills an advantage
  • Attention to detail including excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and to adapt to change in a daily, unpredictable news production environment
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends
  • A keen interest in and knowledge of Reuters global content and our site's professional audience
