About Wonderbly

Wonderbly creates personalised books and gifts that help people celebrate life's moments in a more meaningful way. From children's stories to keepsake gifts, our products combine creativity, storytelling and personalisation to create something genuinely special.

We're now evolving our creative model to better support the next phase of growth, increasing creative velocity, strengthening video and performance creative capability and building a more effective in house engine across paid, CRM, onsite and brand touchpoints.

The Role

We're looking for a Content Creator to join the Creative team and bring Wonderbly to life through engaging video and social content across our marketing channels.

This is a hands on role for someone who knows how to turn a creative brief into engaging content. You'll work closely with Creative Strategy and the wider Marketing team to understand what we're trying to say, then figure out the most effective and compelling way to tell that story.

You'll be particularly focused on shooting and editing social-first content, with paid social a big part of the role. You'll be behind the camera, in the edit and involved in shaping how ideas come to life, from the first treatment through to the final asset.

With a performance-first mindset, you'll think about the hook, the pacing, the format, the platform and what will make someone want to keep watching. You’ll know how to get the most out of a good idea, coming up with iterations to figure out what resonates most.

You'll work across product, lifestyle, UGC style and concept led content. You'll bring your own creative point of view and ideas, while being comfortable working within a wider creative direction and taking input from different stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Create Content
  • Turn creative briefs into engaging social first content that captures attention quickly and communicates a clear story
  • Shoot and edit short form video for paid and organic social
  • Create content for Instagram, TikTok and Meta
  • Explore different hooks, openings, formats, edits and visual approaches to bring ideas to life
  • Create a mix of product, lifestyle, UGC style and concept led content
  • Get the most from every shoot by creating different edits, cutdowns and variants
  • Photograph products and create still assets where needed
  • Adapt and repurpose content across formats, placements and audiences
Shoot and Direct
  • Plan and run smaller social first shoots from brief through to final edit
  • Develop shot lists, treatments, locations, props and simple production plans in collaboration with the wider Creative team
  • Direct creators, talent and contributors to get natural, engaging performances
  • Work with the Creative Lead to shape the creative approach and make the most of shoot time and budget
  • Capture additional social first content on larger campaign and brand shoots, working alongside the wider production team
  • Find opportunities on set to capture behind the scenes, product moments and other content that can extend the life of a larger production
  • Capture content that feels natural and native to the platform while still feeling unmistakably Wonderbly
Make Better Performance Creative
  • Work closely with Creative Strategy and Growth to bring performance focused briefs to life
  • Build a strong understanding of our audiences, channels and performance goals and use this to inform creative decisions
  • Work closely with Growth to understand what is working and where there are opportunities to improve
  • Use performance learnings to develop stronger hooks, formats, edits and creative executions
  • Create different versions of content to test hooks, formats, lengths and approaches
  • Help maintain a strong pipeline of fresh creative for paid social
  • Keep an eye on emerging formats, trends and references that could be worth testing
Bring Creative Ideas to Life
  • Contribute ideas and creative thinking from brief through to execution
  • Explore different ways to tell a story through format, visual language, pacing and editing
  • Bring your own creative point of view while working within the wider creative direction
  • Develop recurring formats and content series where there is an opportunity
  • Find new and interesting ways to show Wonderbly's products and bring their stories to life
Work Collaboratively
  • Work closely with Creative Strategy, Growth and channel owners to understand briefs and deliver the right creative for each channel
  • Build strong working relationships with different stakeholders and understand their different needs and priorities
  • Bring ideas and creative thinking to the process while respecting the wider strategy and channel objectives
  • Take feedback constructively and know when to push an idea, adapt it or move on
  • Help make the creative process feel collaborative, positive and productive
  • Share ideas, knowledge and inspiration with the wider Creative team
Help Build the Creative Engine
  • Help create more high quality content efficiently
  • Develop repeatable shooting and editing approaches without allowing the work to become formulaic
  • Help build and maintain a useful library of footage, photography and finished content
  • Work with freelancers, creators and production partners when needed
  • Share knowledge and help raise the standard of content across the team

Requirements
  • Experience creating, shooting and editing social content, ideally within consumer, retail, DTC or another fast paced environment
  • Strong visual eye with a good understanding of composition, framing, lighting, pacing and storytelling
  • Confident shooting video and taking footage through to a finished edit
  • Strong editing skills and experience using relevant editing software
  • Understanding of what makes content work on social, particularly paid social
  • Comfortable working from creative briefs and collaborating with strategists, Growth, channel owners and other stakeholders
  • Able to bring your own creative thinking to a brief while working within a wider creative direction
  • Comfortable creating quickly, responding to feedback and iterating
  • Experience working with both products and people on camera
  • Good understanding of social formats, aspect ratios and platform requirements
  • Comfortable owning smaller projects from brief through to delivery
  • Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong shooting, editing and storytelling skills
Ideally
  • Experience creating UGC or creator led content
  • Strong photography skills
  • Experience creating paid social or performance marketing content
  • Experience shooting social content alongside larger productions
  • Motion graphics or animation skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop
  • Interest in practical AI tools and how they can improve creative workflows

You're Likely to Be

  • Naturally curious and always looking for a better way to tell a story
  • Someone who notices the small things that make content feel good
  • Comfortable getting stuck in and figuring things out
  • Equally happy behind the camera and in the edit
  • Able to move quickly without quality slipping
  • Interested in what makes people stop scrolling without being obsessed with every trend
  • Comfortable taking feedback and trying again
  • Proactive, organised and good at getting things over the line
  • Collaborative, low ego and comfortable working with different stakeholders
  • Confident enough to bring your own point of view while knowing when to listen
  • Interested in how creative can contribute to performance and growth
  • Genuinely likes making things

The Setup

Full time, based in the London office 3 days a week.

You'll be part of the Creative team, working closely with the Creative Lead, Creative Strategy, Growth and channel owners across the business.

The role is particularly hands on, with a mix of shooting, editing, creative development and production. You'll have the opportunity to work across a wide range of Wonderbly products and stories and play an important role in making the creative output more engaging, more effective and more consistent.

You'll have a mix of ownership and collaboration. Larger campaign shoots will be led by the Creative Lead, with you capturing social first content alongside the main production. Smaller social shoots will be yours to shape and run, with support and creative direction from the Creative Lead.
