Join us as a Vice President in Specialist Portfolio Management, Securitisation

  • In this prominent role, you’ll work with stakeholders to build customer relationships and deliver best-in-market customer experiences within our Securitisation team
  • You’ll provide effective risk and portfolio management to a complex set of customers
  • You’ll be able to really make this role your own, allowing excellent exposure for you and your work in a fast paced role
  • This is a hybrid role with an expectation to go in to the office a minimum of 2 days a week
What you'll do 

You’ll be adding real value to the client agenda by being part of the frontline client team, delivering credit stewardship of debt solutions. You’ll assume prime responsibility for non-origination activities and actively manage a portfolio of securitisation transactions, considering risks, capital allocation and other commercial factors.

We’ll also look to you to line manage, coach and develop team members, setting stretching objectives, managing performance and coaching them in managing their portfolios. 

Other duties will include:

  • Performing best-in-class credit stewardship, transaction execution and customer service
  • Driving delivery of financial metrics while minimising incidences of bad debts 
  • Acting as a mentor and coach to more junior team members by sharing best practice and providing relevant coaching
  • Identifying and managing risks including proactive management of problem loans, data quality and portfolio reporting
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless customer experience
The skills you'll need

You’ll already have broad experience of the banking industry including in a regulatory and commercial environment specific to securitisations. You’ll need a working knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulatory and statutory obligations and risk management. Additionally, you’ll be expected to have experience of line managing a team, alongside good knowledge of how best to coach and develop others.

We’ll also want to see:

  • Strong experience of managing and prioritising multiple deadlines and stakeholder expectations with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent credit skills suitable for the stewardship of SPM Securitisation customer exposures, including monthly RWA calculations, annual reviews and follow-up points, performance and report reviews as well as ad hoc client requests, such as waivers, upsizes and extensions
  • Experience of undertaking quality risk assessments across a range of lending requests, articulating balanced recommendations and approval decisions, and exercising sound judgement with thought and integrity, identifying appropriate solutions
  • Customer consideration through all aspects of the risk assessment process allowing fair outcomes for customers, whilst keeping the bank’s purpose in mind
  • Prior Securitisation experience essential, front office experience beneficial
  • Experience of PowerBI, Workspace and Power Platform tools and AI preferred. Professional financial qualifications would be beneficial
