The Vice President, Global Sourcing serves as the enterprise-wide leader responsible for shaping, executing, and continuously evolving Cytiva’s global sourcing strategy across all product categories and services. This executive role drives transformational impact across the value chain—delivering sustained improvements in cost competitiveness, cash performance, quality, productivity, risk management, and on‑time delivery within a complex and geographically diverse supply network.

This leader provides strategic direction and operational oversight for Direct Sourcing, Indirect Sourcing, Sourcing Operations, Logistics Sourcing, and Sourcing Integration & Transformation, ensuring unified strategy deployment, full alignment to business objectives, and consistent execution excellence across all Operating Companies and global Business Units.

The role partners closely with executive leadership to build a high‑performing, future‑ready sourcing organization capable of delivering accelerated value creation, enhancing supply resilience and sustainability whilst supporting long‑term business growth.

This position reports to the Vice President, Operations and Site Governance

What you will do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Define and lead the global sourcing strategy for Cytiva, aligned to growth, margin expansion, resiliency, and customer delivery priorities.
  • Own enterprise sourcing performance, delivering measurable results in cost deflation, working capital, supplier quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery.
  • Lead and develop a global sourcing organization, accountable for Direct, Indirect, Logistics Sourcing, Sourcing Operations, and Transformation activities across all businesses.
  • Drive DBS deployment across sourcing, including Policy Deployment, VAVE, DFX, supplier kaizen, and standard work to improve outcomes and scalability.
  • Build and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships, ensuring supply continuity, risk mitigation, innovation, and sustainability across a global supplier base.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to enable growth, new product introductions, and network optimization.
  • Lead sourcing integration and transformation initiatives, including digital enablement, operating model evolution, and capability building to support Cytiva’s future growth.
  • Champion talent development, engagement, and DEI, building a strong leadership bench and a high‑performing, inclusive global team.

Who you are

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Extensive global sourcing leadership experience within complex, multi‑site manufacturing and life sciences, biotechnology, or advanced industrial environments.
  • Proven ability to deliver enterprise‑level impact, including cost productivity, cash improvement, supplier quality, and delivery performance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, global teams, operating across regions, cultures, and business units.
  • Deep understanding of end‑to‑end sourcing operations, including direct materials, indirect spend, logistics, and supplier risk management.
  • Strong DBS mindset, with hands‑on experience deploying continuous improvement, policy deployment, and transformation initiatives at scale.
  • Executive presence and influence, with the ability to partner at the most senior levels and lead through complexity and change.
