Join our Corporate Sustainability team and help shape the future of energy policy and power markets across Europe. In this role, you will translate complex market and regulatory developments into commercial insights that inform strategic decision-making. You will work with colleagues across the firm and engage with external stakeholders to advance energy and sustainability priorities. This is an opportunity to influence discussions at the intersection of energy, finance, and public policy while contributing to solutions that support a more affordable, secure, and resilient energy future.

As a Vice President in Corporate Sustainability, you will translate energy market signals and policy and regulatory developments into commercial implications for the firm and its clients. You will provide decision-useful analysis, support strategic engagement with stakeholders, and help inform leadership on key developments across European energy markets. Working across multiple functions, you will contribute to initiatives that advance energy and environmental priorities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate emerging European energy policy and regulatory developments and assess their potential commercial implications.
  • Translate market, policy, and regulatory developments into clear and actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Partner with corporate functions and business teams to support energy policy positions and engagement strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional input on topics including electricity market design, grid planning, permitting, and public finance frameworks.
  • Design and execute external partnerships, grants, and events supporting energy and sustainability priorities.
  • Represent the firm with industry groups, policy stakeholders, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and governance of strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Develop reports, presentations, briefing materials, and communication content for internal and external audiences.
  • Monitor trends across power, transport, infrastructure, and related energy sectors.
  • Support senior leadership with analysis and recommendations on emerging market and policy developments.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Energy Systems, Public Policy, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience analysing energy policy, regulation, or market developments.
  • Knowledge of European energy markets and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex market and regulatory developments and communicate their implications clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across diverse functions.
  • Strong presentation development and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with generative AI and large language model tools.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Expertise in European wholesale electricity markets and electricity market design.
  • Knowledge of European Union energy and climate policy frameworks, including renewable energy, infrastructure, industrial, and critical materials regulations.
  • Understanding of United Kingdom energy policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience related to grid operations, transmission systems, distribution networks, or utility planning.
  • Experience engaging with policymakers, industry associations, non-profit organizations, or academic institutions.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships, grants, or stakeholder engagement programmes.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
