Group Details

Tradeweb is seeking a Vice President, Data Risk Management to join the Firm's Data Risk Management function, based in London and reporting to the Head of Data Risk Management. This role supports the build-out and ongoing execution of the Firm's data risk management capabilities, helping to identify, assess, manage and communicate risks arising from the use, movement, transformation and consumption of data across technology platforms and AI-driven use cases.

The Data Risk Management function focuses on how data behaves in practice — across applications, systems, platforms, analytics and workflows — and whether that usage introduces operational, regulatory or reputational risk. The VP will act as a key regional partner, supporting delivery of the data risk program across London and EMEA.

Data Risk Management evaluates:

•              Data usage across trading, analytics and reporting systems

•              Data flows across internal and external platforms

•              AI/ML model data dependencies and outputs

•              Risks from data aggregation, transformation and replication

Job Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of the enterprise Data Risk Framework, covering data misuse, data quality, data lineage and traceability, data availability, transformation risks, replication risks and AI/ML-related risks.
  • Assist in defining, documenting and operationalizing controls and standards across the data usage lifecycle.
  • Partner with Technology teams in London and other regional hubs to map, monitor and escalate risks associated with data flows, including identifying high-risk transformation pain points.
  • Support the design and ongoing monitoring of safeguards around data propagation, duplication, and shadow data usage.
  • Contribute to risk oversight activities for AI/ML and advanced analytics, including reviewing input integrity, output reliability, and model-data dependencies.
  • Support reviews of cross-system data integrity and consistency, helping to identify control gaps across platforms and data pipelines.
  • Lead or support data risk incident deep dives, ensuring root cause analysis and tracking of remediation actions through to closure.
  • Help embed Data Risk into broader risk frameworks and governance forums, collaborating with operational, technology and model risk functions across regions.
  • Prepare metrics, reporting and materials for governance committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as a regional point of contact for Data Risk Management matters in London/EMEA, escalating material issues and emerging risks to the Head of Data Risk Management.

Qualifications

  • 6-9 years of experience in Operational Risk, Data Governance, Data Risk, Model Risk or Technology Risk.
  • Exposure to data platforms, analytics, and electronic trading environments; AI/ML or model risk experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data architectures, pipelines, AI/ML lifecycle, and trading/technology workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize and clearly communicate risks across systems, data flows, and business use cases.
  • Experience supporting the design or implementation of risk frameworks and controls.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data standards and data control environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional, cross-regional teams and with senior leadership.
  • Ability to operate with a degree of independence within a matrixed organization, while keeping the Head of Data Risk Management informed on regional priorities and escalations.
