Vice President, Business Analysis & Project Management – BlackRock Transformation Office (BTO)

About this role

BlackRock Transformation Office (BTO) is a global group of change professionals that deliver strategic transformation to help make BlackRock greater than the sum of its parts. We drive delivery of the most complex and impactful transformational initiatives across the firm.

Your role and impact:

You will apply your knowledge to some of the firm’s most strategic, complex, and highly valued projects. You will have the opportunity to drive scale, ensure consistency, and reduce risk across the firm. This is not a traditional project management role; we are looking for intellectually curious, world-class problem solvers who want to learn the details and be directly involved in designing and implementing scalable solutions. We act as the “connective tissue” between the various lines of business by applying in-depth knowledge of BlackRock’s organization, processes, and technology in order to deliver change.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams and partner with business leads to drive strategic projects, including complex client and technology mandates and commercial opportunities, to completion

• Develop project objectives with measurable goals, demonstrate thought leadership, drive consensus, and communicate plans and outcomes to stakeholders

• Advise business partners on workflow improvements to maximize scalability and capacity in our business processes and technology tools

• Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders across the firm to effectively navigate a dynamic global organization

• Distil complex topics into succinct and effective communications with senior leadership

• Develop content knowledge and dive deep into any topic, becoming a pseudo-subject expert in any area of any project in our portfolio

• Stay current by being a student of global finance and technology trends impacting BlackRock and the industry

Your Experience

• 5+ years of work experience in financial services

• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional change initiatives

• Ability to clearly articulate objectives and influence outcomes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience in leading business process analysis, design, and implementation

• Ambitious and proactive, - showing initiative to come up with ideas without prompting

• Technical aptitude, understanding technology in a business context

• Experience working with global, distributed teams across multiple cultures and time zones

• Sense of curiosity and the courage to ask tough questions

• Experience with AI (artificial intelligence) /ML (machine learning), including large language models, OpenAI and Azure AI solutions a plus

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
