Role Requirements:

orking on Microwave Power Module and TWT development programmes

Develop test methodology, understanding system requirements and functional characteristics

Work with test facilities equipment owners, both internal/external, assemble/develop test set-ups and plan testing

Execute test plans and write test reports to demonstrate compliance

Liaise with electronics and microwave tube engineers to diagnose and resolve system and component level performance issues

Essential Skills/experience

  • Knowledge of microwave theory, equipment and test processes
  • Experience working microwave amplifier systems - mW to W
  • Test planning working from customer, internal and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience working on defence electronics systems and projects
  • Degree level or equivalent industrial experience
  • SC clearable

Desirable

  • SC cleared
  • Experience working with tube based amplifiers Travelling wave tubes (TWTs)
  • Understanding of electronics related to power supplies and amplifiers
  • Experience using MIL-STD’s and MIL-SPEC’s.
