Capco is looking for talented, innovative and creative people to join our incredible and growing Team focused on our financial services clients. We are looking for experienced talent exceptional domain expertise who can work directly with our clients on mission-critical projects.
About the Role:
The Design team is responsible for the user experience of customer- and employee-facing touchpoints for banking, investing, and insurance, including but not limited to websites, smartphone, smartwatch and tablet apps. The Design Research team enables evidence-based strategy and design decisions through the execution of human factors research methods and skillful communication of the latest findings. The Design Researcher coordinates Research for a product area, platform, or journey to ensure the timely delivery of Research to support Design.
Responsibilities
- Work with service design directors, strategists, designers, and business stakeholders to support research that informs Experience Design.
- Create research agendas/roadmaps to support Design teams to ensure timely research across multiple projects; conduct and/or oversee research conducted by other researchers or vendors
- Define research questions, create the research approach and participant recruitment plan, and select appropriate methods of data collection and analysis
- Create participant screeners; recruiting from internal employee panels or working with vendors to recruit external participants; creating research protocols
- Conduct design research including observation/ethnography, diary studies, user interviews, usability testing, card sorting, etc.
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative approaches to make sense of the data collected
- Translate findings into easily understandable insights used to drive ideation and inform design, in diverse formats including experience maps, usability test reports, personas, etc.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to research teams in research methodologies, study design, communication, and other skills.
- Effectively communicate Research processes and study insights to Design partners and external stakeholders to ensure use and impact; educate stakeholder on Design Research processes
Show Us What You’ve Got
- 5-10 years of UX Research experience in the banking and financial services industry is required
- Undergraduate degree is required (graduate degree preferred) in psychology, anthropology, computer science, industrial engineering, human factors, human-computer interaction or a related field
- Financial Services industry experience required
- Deep knowledge of and experience with User-Centered Design and Human Factors research methods
- Experience working in Agile
- Strong communications skills: written, oral, and graphical, and demonstrated ability to translate research findings into insights to inform Design
- Experience carrying out Research in Agile
- Strong project management skills with ability to balance tasks spanning multiple studies, and working with multiple stakeholder groups
