Ready to take the wheel of a high-performing sales team?

We’re looking for an ambitious, energetic and customer-focused Used Car Sales Manager to join our team in Crayford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced automotive sales professional to take ownership of a dynamic, fast-paced sales department, drive commercial performance and, most importantly, bring out the very best in their team.

You’ll play a key role in achieving and exceeding sales targets, developing your people and ensuring every customer enjoys an outstanding experience from start to finish.

What you’ll be doing

As Used Car Sales Manager, you’ll lead from the front, creating a positive, motivated and high-performing sales environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing the sales team to maximise individual and departmental performance.

  • Managing performance effectively, recognising great work and supporting your team to achieve their full potential.

  • Recruiting and selecting new team members in line with organisational and group requirements.

  • Championing customer satisfaction and ensuring consistently high standards of service across the centre.

  • Identifying and maximising commercial opportunities through effective events, campaigns and sales initiatives.

  • Understanding customer needs and local market trends to ensure campaigns are relevant, targeted and commercially successful.

  • Working closely with other departments to maintain an accurate and effective customer database.

  • Using commercial data and insight to identify opportunities, solve challenges and drive sustainable business growth.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who knows how to lead people, drive performance and put the customer at the heart of everything they do.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong experience in a similar management position within a branded car dealership — essential.

  • A proven ability to motivate, coach and develop people while building strong relationships and genuine team spirit.

  • The energy, enthusiasm and genuine passion to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • A commitment to maintaining high standards, ensuring the right processes and attitudes are embedded throughout your area of responsibility.

  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to analyse and interpret a wide range of data and turn insight into effective action.

  • A proactive mindset — someone who can anticipate opportunities and challenges and act decisively rather than waiting for them to happen.

  • A genuine desire to succeed, grow the business and develop those around you.

Why join us?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Used Car Sales professional who is ready to take the next step in their management career. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing sales team, drive the success of a busy used car department and make a genuine difference to both the customer experience and the overall performance of the business.

We also offer a range of benefits including:

  • 30 days holiday including bank holidays, plus additional holiday entitlement which increases with length of service

  • Fantastic discounts on MOT’s, services and parts

  • Life assurance benefit – we’ve got you covered from day one!

Ready for your next career move?

If you’re an experienced automotive sales manager who thrives on achieving results, developing people and delivering an exceptional customer experience, we’d love to hear from you.

At Allen Motor Group, we drive an inclusive workplace, respecting and encouraging applications from every background. Join our team, where every person matters.
