Role Purpose
The Commercial Business Director is a strategic partner to the UK&I Managing Director and wider UK&I leadership group, responsible for supporting and driving revenue growth, commercial performance, and execution of business strategy.
This role sits at the centre of the UK&I business and is central to ensuring that Worldpanel’s insight leadership is translated into measurable commercial outcomes—for both clients and the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
The Commercial Business Director will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders across all Commercial teams, Operations, Finance and other functions to deliver on the following.
1. Commercial Strategy & Execution

Support development and delivery of the UK&I commercial strategy and growth agenda

Translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable commercial plans

Provide market, competitor, and client insight to inform decision-making
2. Revenue Growth & Pipeline Management
-
Drive delivery of revenue, margin, and pipeline targets
-
Identify and unlock new growth opportunities across existing and new clients
-
Strengthen pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and conversion rates

Support development of pricing strategies and commercial propositions
-
Overseeing Commercial Policy: Pricing, discounts, contracts T&C’s, guaranteeing regional consistency, including Salesforce processes (approval matrix, licenses, performance metrics, etc.).
3. Client & Market Leadership

Position Worldpanel as a trusted, strategic partner
-
Collaborate with colleagues to identify repeatable and scalable services which can be monetized
-
Identify opportunities across key UK&I market dynamics (e.g., omnichannel, value vs premium trends)
4. Insight-Led Commercial Delivery

Champion data-driven decision making across the business

Ensure analytics and insights are effectively translated into commercial opportunities and revenue growth

Strengthen storytelling and value articulation to internal stakeholders
5. Cross-functional Leadership

Partner with all commercial teams, product, and finance

Align stakeholders behind common commercial goals and priorities
-
Drive consistency and efficiency in go-to-market approaches
6. Financial Management & Governance

Partner with the MD, Finance and wider leadership team to effectively budget, forecast and track financial performance

Provide clear visibility on risks, opportunities, and performance vs targets
-
Drive focus on profitability and sustainable growth
7. MD Office & Executive Support

Lead development of board materials, executive reporting, and strategic updates

Act as a trusted advisor for the MD where required

Ensure delivery and governance of key strategic initiatives and transformation programmes
Experience & Qualifications
-
Solid experience in a commercial, strategy, or client leadership role
-
Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and commercial impact
-
Experience of working in the UK&I client landscape preferred

Highly numerate with strong financial and commercial acumen
-
Adept at working in an environment of transformation, with the ability to role model and lead others successfully through change
-
Degree or equivalent experience (MBA desirable but not essential)
