Are you an experienced IT Systems Leader with experience of Terminal Operating Systems looking to drive technology across one of the UK's most advanced logistics and port operations?

 

DP World London Gateway based in Stanford le Hope is seeking a UK IT Systems Team Manager to lead the systems that power our terminal operations, ensuring world-class performance, reliability, innovation and business continuity. 

 

About the Role:

  • Responsible for the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of critical operational systems, including Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), business applications, integrations and databases.

  • Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary Technical IT Systems Team including Development, BA, TOS, Database Admin

  • Driving operational excellence across TOS, applications, databases and integrations

  • Overseeing system enhancements, testing, commissioning and change management

  • Delivering business-critical IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Building strong relationships with operational stakeholders, vendors and senior leadership

  • Supporting UK-wide standardisation and collaboration between London Gateway and Southampton

     

     

Your Key Skills:

  • Proven leadership experience within IT Systems, Terminal Operating Systems, Applications and Technology Operations
  • ESSENTIAL Knowledge of Terminal Operating Systems (Navis experience desirable)
  • Strong understanding of IT environments, system design, application architecture, and databases.
  • Knowledge of software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and source control.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, integrations and databases
  • Experience managing technical teams across multiple disciplines
  • Background in logistics, maritime, industrial, manufacturing or operational environments
  • Strong stakeholder management, project delivery and problem-solving capabilities

 

Requirements for applicants: 

  • Must meet the medical fitness requirements for the role 
  • Must not have any unspent criminal convictions (DBS checks are carried out)
