This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI Polygraph.
This role improves user experience, usability, and mission workflow effectiveness through intuitive interface design and human-centered product development. The position contributes to AI-enabled, data-driven solutions that help users work across complex datasets at scale, improve operational outcomes, and accelerate the delivery of mission-relevant applications and services. All work is performed in secure environments. Work location is Joint Base Anacostia, Arlington, VA, or Reston, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma, and have a basic understanding of front-end development
- Key skills include user research, responsive design, and knowledge of the latest UI/UX trends and accessibility standards
- Strong problem- solving abilities, effective communication skills, creativity, and attention to detail are essential to collaborate with cross-functional teams and create user-centric designs
- Certifications can further enhance a candidate's qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with 8-12 years of experience.
- Expert in user experience design methodologies and accessibility standards.
- Leads design for major systems and establishes design systems and standards for consistent user experiences across applications.
- Active Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with system integration and database management
- Relevant technical or project management certifications
- Ability to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000.00 - $188,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
