About the Role

Our Recycling division is looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our team in the Uxbridge depot. This role plays a crucial part in assisting the depot’s Transport Team Leader in directing and controlling all transport activities to deliver the Company’s business goals without compromising standards.

Reporting to, and deputising for, the Transport Team Leader, you will have responsibility for the depot’s drivers and its fleet, with driving duties as required.

Key Tasks include:

  • Update and maintain the service planner and liaise with repairers and leasing agents to ensure vehicle repairs are carried out.

  • To manage quality standards of incoming material, taking appropriate action where necessary. 

  • Assist in the effective and efficient planning of collections to ensure adequate service requirements are met.

  • To effectively communicate with internal and external customers

  • To train drivers to the acceptable and creditable level and be responsible for signing off drivers in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all policies and Health and Safety procedures are strictly adhered to and effectively report and challenge people-related matters as they arise.

About you

  • Knowledge of transport legislation and its application

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and its importance in the workplace

  • PC literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • CAT C licence and willing to work towards CAT C+E

  • Experience of working within the recycling or waste industry would be an advantage

This is a 40 hour a week role working Monday to Friday with on-call duties on alternating Saturdays. Free parking is available on-site.
