Salary: £31,200 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday 

Week 1 - 5.30am - 2pm 

Week 2 - 9.30am - 6pm 

1 in every 4 weekends - 5.30am - 6pm with additional days off during the week to compensate 

Location: Veolia, Freeth Street, Nottingham NG2 3GT

What you'll be doing;

  • Responsible for the efficient routing of our fleet to service 12 recycling centres and 4 transfer stations throughout Nottinghamshire as well as meeting our contractual obligations. 

  • To work closely with the Transport Supervisor to oversee the transport office and our team of C and C+E drivers. 

  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that contractual obligations are met in a timely manner. 

  • To liaise with the workforce to resolve any issues that arise. 

  • Proactively update driver rotas with any changes to accommodate the requirements of our service. 

  • Proactively manage the scheduling of vehicle servicing, MOT and LOLER in accordance with company policy to remain compliant at all times. 

  • To effectively manage both EU and Working Time drivers hours to ensure compliance and action any infringements that may occur. 

  • Working collaboratively with Contract Management to ensure the daily/weekly availability target of the core fleet is maintained ensuring that all relevant KPIs are met. 

  • Filing of vehicle maintenance paperwork and drivers hours records.

  • Undertake investigations when required, ensuring these are recorded accurately using internal systems. 

  • Undertake vehicle gate checks.and driver worksafe observations. 

  • Ensure training and competency checks are in place for all roles. 

What we're looking for;

  • Previous experience of working in a transport environment is essential 

  • Must have a full clean driving licence, C+E experience desirable
