Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our team in Market Drayton on a full time permanent basis.
As a Transport Planner you will effectively assemble loads / deliveries and resource the correct transport requirements.
Salary: up to £36,679.09 per annum, depending on experience.
Working hours: Any 4 from 7, 07:30-18:00.
As Transport Planner you will oversee the day to day planning of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day to day challenges and provide cost effective solutions to the customer.
Key Duties of a Transport Planner:
- Efficiently utilising the Culina networks fleet.
- Planning loads centrally for all Culina Chill sites, including Group intervention.
- Assembling 400 + multi drop / consolidated loads in every 24 hour period.
- Planning approximately 200 + collections to clients agreed KPI.
- Resourcing correct transport requirements for each site, keeping sub-contract to a minimum.
- Exceeding agreed KPIs.
- Liaising daily with personnel across different levels (Shift Managers, Transport Coordinators, Customer Service & Client Support Colleagues).
- Proactively looking for conscientious improvements.
- Dealing with day to day operational issues.
- Dealing with client requests.
- Other duties as reasonably required.
- Attention to detail / accuracy.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Good communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
- Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
- Able to work on own or as part of a team.
- CPC desirable but not essential.
- Proactive decision maker.
