Plan and allocate vehicles and drivers to maximise utilisation and profitability; manage driver attendance and queries; route optimisation, data analysis, and KPI monitoring; coordinate loading, POD management, customer liaison, and daily transport administration to ensure timely deliveries and continuous improvement.

Attend an HGV Class 1 driver open day to explore roles at Stobart. Positions involve deliveries and collections to RDCs and stores, general haulage, trunking, drop & swaps, and manual handling. Day and night shifts available. Applicants should bring required driving and identity documentation.

Plan and oversee daily transport operations to meet delivery/collection windows, ensure compliance with WTD and drivers' hours regulations, optimise driver and vehicle resources, coordinate with planning, customer services and depots, manage incidents, and arrange contractor deliveries and re-deliveries.

Coordinate driver dispatch and track deliveries, issue and check driver paperwork, manage PODs and tacho downloads, report incidents, compile DOT reports and KPIs, support drivers with breakdowns and defect procedures, and maintain ASNs.

Assess and maintain site Health & Safety and Food Safety (BRCGS) compliance. Maintain training records, develop and audit Site Safety Management Plan, coordinate safety and food-safety training, support incident investigations, complete site inspections, and keep safety communications and documentation current.

Manage 24/7 transport operations to meet service levels and budgets. Supervise and develop the transport team, control fleet availability and maintenance costs, liaise with hauliers and suppliers, ensure compliance through audits, attend customer reviews, and drive continuous service improvements.
