Support day-to-day depot transport operations, manage and develop transport staff, control maintenance and fuel budgets, ensure vehicle and driver compliance, liaise with third-party hauliers, implement service improvements, and deputise for the Transport Manager.

Manage day-to-day accounting for a warehouse e-fulfilment site: prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow forecasts, fixed asset and lease accounting, variance analysis, audits, budgeting/forecasting, process improvements, and mentor finance team members.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across site, following cleaning schedules and health & safety protocols. Operate and store cleaning equipment, segregate and dispose of waste, report maintenance issues, keep cleaning records, and communicate with team and supervisors to ensure a safe, hygienic environment.

Plan and allocate vehicles and drivers to maximise utilisation and profitability; manage driver attendance and queries; route optimisation, data analysis, and KPI monitoring; coordinate loading, POD management, customer liaison, and daily transport administration to ensure timely deliveries and continuous improvement.

Plans and oversees daily transport operations, optimizing driver and vehicle resources while maintaining service levels and compliance with working time and drivers’ hours regulations. Coordinates deliveries, collections, contractors, depots, customer service, and sales order processing. Monitors retailer delivery windows, communicates plan changes, records incidents, and schedules driver meetings and training.

Plan and oversee daily transport operations to meet delivery/collection windows, ensure compliance with WTD and drivers' hours regulations, optimise driver and vehicle resources, coordinate with planning, customer services and depots, manage incidents, and arrange contractor deliveries and re-deliveries.

Plan and schedule drivers and vehicles to meet delivery and collection deadlines, create/update daily run summaries, manage driver rotas accounting for hours/absence, ensure vehicle and legal compliance, communicate start times/load details to drivers, uphold health & safety and drivers' hours regulations, and support HR processes such as disciplinary and return-to-work meetings.

Manage 24/7 transport operations to meet service levels and budgets. Supervise and develop the transport team, control fleet availability and maintenance costs, liaise with hauliers and suppliers, ensure compliance through audits, attend customer reviews, and drive continuous service improvements.
