Management Accountant responsible for fixed asset and leasing accounting, monthly management accounts, journals, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, budgeting, forecasting, group reporting, audit support, and process improvement. The role also involves identifying unused revenue-generating assets, preparing ad hoc reports, and mentoring finance team members within a fast-paced logistics operation.

Plan and allocate vehicles and drivers to maximise utilisation and profitability; manage driver attendance and queries; route optimisation, data analysis, and KPI monitoring; coordinate loading, POD management, customer liaison, and daily transport administration to ensure timely deliveries and continuous improvement.

Dispatches and monitors drivers and subcontractors, tracks deliveries, manages driver paperwork and proof of delivery, communicates delays, debriefs drivers, supports breakdowns and defect procedures, maintains system notifications, prepares DOT and KPI reports, checks timesheets, and downloads tachograph cards. Ensures transport activities comply with legal, customer, and company procedures.

Dispatch and monitor drivers and deliveries, communicate delays, manage driver paperwork, and support breakdowns and defect procedures. Complete incident reporting, maintain Automatic System Notifications, prepare DOT and KPI reports, process timesheets and tachograph cards, and manage proof of delivery documentation. The role requires transport administration knowledge, familiarity with tachographs and driving regulations, strong organization, customer service, numeracy, IT, and communication skills.

Plans driver and vehicle resources to meet delivery and collection deadlines while optimizing capacity and complying with drivers’ hours, tachograph, road transport, health and safety, and vehicle maintenance requirements. Maintains run summaries and driver rotas, communicates schedules and load information, coordinates with departments, and supports employee standards processes including return-to-work meetings and disciplinary procedures.

Manage 24/7 transport operations to meet service levels and budgets. Supervise and develop the transport team, control fleet availability and maintenance costs, liaise with hauliers and suppliers, ensure compliance through audits, attend customer reviews, and drive continuous service improvements.
