Trade Finance Analyst (f/x/m)

in MGSF

Location: Warsaw

Mars is looking for a Trade Finance Analyst to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting and planning, risk management, internal control, and digital tools management. You will deliver periodic close of GSV/NSV, manage trade terms accounting, and support leadership in volume-to-value planning.  What will be your key responsibilities? 
  • Validate customer data/contracts in the TPM tool and collaborate with Sales to ensure all processes (invoice approval, promotional deals approval) are delivered on time and recorded accurately. 

  • Ensure trade budgets are managed accurately and at the appropriate level of detail in the system; support SDL to ensure spending aligns with guidelines through regular budget reviews with the Sales Team. 

  • Oversee and lead Trade Accrual Management, Governance, and Communication. 

  • Partner with local Business Partners and Sales on quarterly Trade Term reviews via Digital Dealsheet tool (PowerBI dashboard). 

  • Provide backup for required CAS finance approvals. 

  • Support the Units Sales Leadership and Regional Controllership Team for internal and external audits on Trade Fund Management. 

  • Deliver period-end closing in TPM tool, from GSV to NSV, including Accrual Management and communication to stakeholders in the unit and MGS-F. 

  • Maintain and support further development of digital tools/reporting and foster a value creation mindset within local finance Business Partners. 

  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and guidelines for internal controls related to the trade budget, in collaboration with the Regional Controllership Team. 

  • Support Sales Finance Business Partners in Trade Budget generation and allocation. 

  • Support volume-to-value planning for the unit. 

  • Act as Finance Poweruser for the TPM tool (CAS/Compass), supporting master data management, proper tool usage, and leading improvement projects. 

  • Continuing digitalization for Trade and Accruals related processes, partnering with local Data Analysis and Systems teams. 

 What are we looking for? 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related quantitative field.

  • 3 to 5 years of diversified financial management experience, with a proven track record in financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and accounting principles.

  • A professional with a strong customer focus who doesn't just identify financial variances, but proactively partners with stakeholders to uncover the "why" and deliver actionable, pragmatic business solutions.

  • A self-motivated individual who takes extreme ownership of their portfolio. You anticipate business needs, initiate improvements, and thrive when working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Outstanding analytical capabilities with the ability to translate complex financial data sets into clear, strategic narratives for decision-makers.

  • High comfort level navigating modern digital finance landscapes (Advanced Excel skills - financial modeling, complex formulas; Robust experience with SAP and Analysis for Office; solid working knowledge of core accounting systems and digital finance solutions).

  • Full professional written and verbal fluency in English is required. Professional proficiency in German is highly valued and considered a strong asset.
