This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cyber Security team as a Technical Information Security Officer (TISO) at M&S. Sitting at the heart of Technology and Product, you’ll provide clear visibility of cyber and technology risk while helping teams innovate safely and responsibly.

 

Working closely with senior stakeholders across engineering, product, and leadership teams, you’ll shape how we manage risk at scale - balancing the needs of innovation with strong security controls. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys influencing at all levels, building strong relationships, and driving meaningful change in a complex environment.

What you’ll do

 

Your key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Drive and embed cyber and technology risk management across our technical and product landscape
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to influence decisions and ensure risk is understood and managed effectively
  • Develop and maintain consistent, business-aligned risk frameworks and reporting
  • Provide clear insights and reporting into risk posture for senior leadership and governance forums
  • Support teams to identify, assess, and reduce risk in line with agreed risk appetite

 

Who you are

 

Your skills and experience will include:

 

  • Strong experience in Cyber Security and Technology Risk Management
  • Ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders, including executive-level leaders
  • Good understanding of enterprise technology environments (infrastructure, networks, applications)
  • Experience delivering change in complex, fast-paced organisations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical risk into clear, actionable insights
