Our Third Party and Outsourcing Risk Management Team

We are a tech-focussed bank with bold ambitions, and we believe in making strong internal and external relationships. To effectively manage and build relationships across the Monzo Group and with external suppliers, the Third Party Risk Management team take charge of making sure we have well defined controls, processes and governance models in place to meet the continually growing and evolving demands of global Third Party Risk Management regulations.

We are a small, high-performing, high-energy team and we are here to deliver Third Party Risk Management in a pragmatic way that benefits Monzo and our customers. Whilst there are many defined and diverse programs of work that we are focussed on, our team’s scope is expanding as Monzo expands into the EU - giving you the opportunity to gain unique insights into Monzo operations at every level.   

Reporting to the Director of Third Party Risk, you will become a part of Monzo's community, where your drive for innovation and your deep experience of all things Risk and Control will meet our commitment to revolutionising fintech. As a member of our team, you'll actively contribute to shaping our future, leaving a lasting mark on how we evolve.

  • Bringing your unique Risk and Control expertise gained in global organisations, to advance Monzo’s strategic goals and support our growth
  • Proactively delivering impactful and effective Third Party Risk Management 
  • Designing, implementing and managing operational processes to enhance how Monzo manages Third Party Risk
  • Having a pivotal role in developing sustainable ways to meet our regulatory requirements in a high-growth, technology-driven environment
  • Striving to achieve high standards and instil established best practices in risk management
  • Taking a collaborative and partnered approach to achieving business objectives with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Having the ability to be both tactical and strategic when developing and delivering Third Party risk management solutions at Monzo

  • You’re experienced in working within highly regulated environments and know how to navigate complexity with confidence
  • You’ve led or contributed to sustainable improvements in risk processes, making lasting, practical impact
  • You’re skilled at delivering third-party risk management in a collaborative, matrix environment
  • You bring a strong understanding of outsourcing regulations, ideally from the banking or financial services sector
  • You communicate with clarity, tact, and pragmatism, building trust and influence at every level
  • You have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy developing, reviewing and implementing effective policies and procedures
  • You know how to build strategies that manage third-party risk effectively throughout their lifecycle
  • You’re confident interpreting risk regulations and standards across different jurisdictions
  • You’re well-versed in Cyber, Information Security, and Data Risk Management
  • You’re familiar with third-party risk management tools and systems
  • And you’re delivery-focused, with a genuine passion for creating sustainable, innovative solutions

📍This role can be in our London office, but we're open to fully remote within the UK

🌈 The application journey has 3 key steps

  • 30 minute initial call with the hiring manager
  • 2 hours of technical and behavioural interviews
