Territory Manager- London

The Team

The UK & Ireland is Deliveroo's most mature market globally. Functions include commercial, operations and marketing, and teams in the UK&I partner with global departments such as Product, Technology, Consumer and Restaurants.

Central London is where Deliveroo launched 10 years ago - and is our ‘heartland.’ The region spans from Ealing in the west to Canary Wharf in the east, and from Brixton in the south to Hampstead in the north. Within this region there is a thriving and diverse restaurant scene with some of the most exciting brands that we work with globally.

We are looking for ambitious and highly driven candidates to join us as Territory Managers in our expanding team in London. This role is on the frontline; growing our businesses together where it matters, directly with our restaurant partners. You will be assigned to a specific team in London - where you have the opportunity to become an ambassador of the Deliveroo Brand, building long-lasting relationships with restaurant partners in your dedicated area.

The Role
As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of top local restaurants in London. You will work closely with the Head of Territory Management, your peers , and a team of Deliveroo Account Managers to drive business performance, optimise operational efficiency, and build strong partnerships with restaurant owners. This role requires an individual who can be proactive, autonomous with exceptional relationship management skills, a proactive approach to partnership building, a passion for food and a willingness to learn about key restaurants and cuisines on the London scene. We see this as an entry point into the Deliveroo commercial business and an ideal opportunity for you to grow within the business into future Account management roles.

What you'll do

  • Drive business performance in London, through Partner Marketing, Advertising sales, and Visibility. Engaging with these Restaurants and owners will be face to face daily and you will be required to travel within London in your dedicated territory.

  • Build and optimise the operational performance of our restaurant offerings

  • Identify new partnership opportunities with top restaurants within your territory and work alongside the Account managers and Business Development Team to sign them on Deliveroo.

  • Address complex support issues with timely resolutions for our restaurant partners

  • Cultivate deep relationships with restaurant partners, identifying opportunities to grow their delivery business

  • Live and breath our Market place and provide on-the-ground knowledge and context about the city to the wider Deliveroo team

  • Act as an ambassador of Deliveroo's mission, brand, and product

Requirements

  • Some Commercial experience or Restaurant/ hospitality experience would be an advantage

  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets

  • Ability to take the initiative and adapt to constantly changing work environments

  • Desire to work with restaurants and build strategic partnerships, creating positive and lasting relationships

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Highly autonomous with excellent organisation and time management skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret and devise data-based strategies

  • Desirable: due to our diversity of cuisines, restaurant partners and neighbourhoods we serve coupled with our desire to provide the best service we possibly can, we really value additional language abilities and would love to hear from candidates who have any knowledge of: Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Swahili, Mandarin, Cantonese, Urdu, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese or Bahasa/Malay in particular.

Why Deliveroo?

Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.

We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

Workplace & Diversity

At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.

We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to provide the necessary adjustments to ensure you have an equitable opportunity to succeed.
