GENERAL SCOPE
Manages an assigned account, or group of accounts, with the primary responsibility to create value for the assigned customers through the technical service they provide; and identifying new product opportunities and selling to existing customers. A Sales Service Professional’s sole focus is to maintain revenue, price capture and to improve gross profit. A Sales Service Professional may work on attaining new business where appropriate, but that is not their primary assignment or job responsibility.

JOB COMPLEXITY
Performs a variety of activities which involve standard procedures. Gathers and manipulates common data, verifies adequacy and appropriateness; develops charts, diagrams, and standard reports. In technical or production positions, may also set up and operate standard electronic or mechanical equipment used to develop, produce and/or test products or process data.
IMPACT
Impact to overall activity limited to immediate functional area. Errors could result in rework, and minor schedule impact.
Job Profile Summary:
To define objectives and plan activities for maximizing performance in nominated accounts on the specified territory predominantly within the Processed Food sector to meet our Service Level Commitment.
Due to the nature of the businesses we support; the working hours need to be flexible to reflect hours worked by hygiene teams. Currently this would entail 4-5 evenings/nights per month. In addition, there will also be 2-3 overnight stays per month due to the geography of the territory.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in setting SMART personal and business goals and objectives.
• Actively participate in problem identification and process improvement.
• Shows initiative and innovation in achieving objectives and goals to meet established and expected standards of performance
• Deliver agreed sales targets and service levels
• Manage the relationships with assigned accounts, focusing on the customer service appropriate for that particular business. This should include:
o Customer staff training for the safe handling of chemicals
o Involvement in the production of hygiene schedules when needed
o Carry out Audits as defined by our Service Level Agreements
o Completion of customer management / territory coverage plan
• Utilise the “Trusted Advisor” approach to grow our business and maintain long term customer relationships.
• Utilises appropriate company and customer reporting systems
• Follow approved company and customer policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS (essential or desirable)
• Experience in a similar / comparable role primarily to the Processed Food Sector
• Ideally a qualification in a job-related discipline (e.g. Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry)
• Ideally have an Internal Auditor Qualification recognised by the BRC.
• Minimum of 2 years industry related knowledge / experience in food manufacturing and processing within the Processed Food Sector
