Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join us on a fixed term contract for 12 months with potential for the role to become permanent.

You’ll be an experienced Technical Writer who is adept at making complex technical concepts easier to understand, creating specialised resources (articles) about INSTANDA’s platform/ services.


This role isUK based, primarily remote working with some travel required to our London Office.

What you will do:

  • Content Creation: Writing clear and concise, well-organised, and consistent technical content from scratch, ensuring clarity and usability for a diverse audience. This includes customer-facing release notes creation with various degrees of details as well as creating end-to-end product documentation.
  • Documentation Strategy: Proactively identify needs and gaps for documentation regularly. Establish feedback loops and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise, plan and complete updates.
  • Collaboration: Partner with multiple teams (engineering, testing, product owners, client delivery and training) to gather technical information, ensure accuracy, and align content with project goals and timelines.
  • Simplify Complexity: Translate complex technologies and processes into plain English, ensuring accessibility for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Process Understanding: Work within Agile and Scrum development methodologies to align documentation with iterative project workflows.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a technical writing role, preferably in a software company
  • Platform knowledge – familiarity with no code/low code platforms. Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency with documentation tools like Confluence, Jira and Freshdesk
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills: collaborating with multiple teams and explaining complex concepts in simple terms various sources
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Self -starter, who can manage their own workload
  • Self-management and prioritisation skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail ensuring technical accuracy in all documentation
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing features and time frames
  • Curiosity
  • Willingness to learn and innovate
