Role Description

The Technical Product Owner will oversee the delivery of key technical aspects of Kantar's new Cross Media Performance (CMP) product and related industry initiatives. The role involves supporting the development of technological and methodological solutions, ensuring best practices, and contributing to a global deployment roadmap for CMP. CMP measures cross-media campaign effectiveness by combining data from TV panels, web exposures, and global platforms.

The position requires adapting to an evolving design process, utilising both waterfall and agile methodologies. The Technical Product Owner will collaborate closely with research and development teams, ensuring compliance and identifying development opportunities. Additionally, the role involves supporting the deployment of industry initiatives like Project Origin and other WFA Cross Media projects. It requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, from digital technologists to external clients.

Job Role Requirements

  • The Technical Product Owner together with the Technical Product Manager will take ownership of a product delivery of Cross Media Performance globally across all facets of data collection, processing and delivery.
  • Will also develop the underlying operational support model for existing deployments
  • Establish necessary processes and procedures to create, structure and maintain an up-to-date product backlog and documentation
  • The Technical Product Owner will be responsible for identifying digital technologies, assets, approaches, methods and best-practices in other divisions of Kantar and outside of Kantar and will lead the thinking on how to bring them to full fruition in the context of our own product.

Role Requirements

  • You will be a subject matter expert in reach measurement– with substantial knowledge in any of the following: digital technologies, methods and best-practice, TV measurement.
  • You will have experience supporting & driving complex digital product development projects.
  • You will be slicing complex solutions / designs into incremental client deliverables
  • You will be designing solutions which are globally scalable, balancing between long-term strategic deliverables and short-term custom client requests
  • You will resolve impediments between commercial, technology and partner teams
  • Knowledge of the digital media buying and selling ecosystem is desirable. You will understand and critically assess how our data is used by partners in their own data ecosystems.
  • You will have experience engaging with teams of subject-matter specialists in development, research, data science and operations. You will be comfortable in the detail of complex digital measurement and research. 
  • You will have excellent communication skills & relationship building skills – and will be able to engage with stakeholders from across the business and be adept at influencing without authority
  • Expertise/experience in at least one of the following:
  • Tagging and data collection technologies and operations
  • Direct Integration (server to server) data concepts, collection technologies and operations
  • Methodology design
  • Ad operations
  • Data integration (fusion/ascription/expansion or other)

Desirable:

  • Experience managing innovation programs (proofs of concept, prototyping etc) will be valuable. You’ll be able to design and support innovation projects and deliver recommendations back to the wider business.
  • Experience of working on or supporting online or cross media audience measurement services
  • Basic understanding of cloud technologies – Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Good understanding of any of the following – Lean, Agile, DevOps, Design Thinking
  • Experience in using collaboration tools such as Jira + Confluence or Azure Boards + Wiki
