Role Purpose:

As a Technical Manager at Smart, you will provide comprehensive technical support across all client sites, engaging with specialist service partners as needed.

You will support all technical aspects of mobilizations, including conducting dilapidation reports. Delivering a world-class service with innovative solutions, you will communicate effectively with clients and team members, presenting accurate reports in the agreed format. Additionally, you will support Business Unit Directors, Contract Managers, and Contract Support with critical technical matters, providing technical assistance to client FM and Estate Management stakeholders with reliability, flexibility, and professionalism.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all technical engineering activities across the portfolio
    •   Develop excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers
    •   Provide a focal point for customers and their clients for all technical issues
    •   Management of incidents during normal working hours through to a conclusion that is satisfactory for client

  • Ensure AP duties are carried out as planned
    •   Carry out site technical training
    •   Provide technical support to both project and site teams
    •   Advise gap analysis training for SMS teams through the training matrix
    •   Produce and maintain all SOP/EOP
    •   Administer technical TBT’s as required
    •   Undertake/oversee condition reports
    •   Ensure technical support aligns with all business policies and processes

Education and Training:

  • Formally trained in HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering

  • Previous experience as a lead engineer for corporate commercial projects

  • HV/ LV Training

  • Professional Engineer licence
