About Person Centred Software

At Person Centred Software, we build technology that genuinely improves lives.

Our platforms are used by care providers across the UK and internationally, helping teams deliver safer, more efficient and more person centred care. We’re growing quickly, with strong momentum in a sector where reliable technology and smooth customer onboarding are critical.

As we continue to scale, we’re looking for Technical Engineers to join our Professional Services team, helping support customer data migration and implementation projects.

The Role

We’re looking for two Technical Engineers to join our Professional Services team on a 6 month fixed-term contract.

This role focuses on supporting data migration and transfer projects for customers moving onto our platform or expanding their use of it following acquisitions or system changes.

You’ll work closely with internal teams to run migration tools, test data transfers, troubleshoot issues and help ensure projects are delivered smoothly from testing through to live deployment.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their technical career who wants hands on experience working with data, systems and software tools within a real production environment. Whether you’re a graduate, career changer or someone with strong technical foundations looking for your next step, this role offers exposure to a broad range of technologies and real world projects.

Day to day, you’ll be:

  • Running and monitoring data migration processes using internal tools
  • Executing test migrations and live data transfers in line with project timelines
  • Working with SQL and .NET based tools to support migration activities
  • Carrying out pre and post migration testing to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Troubleshooting migration issues and investigating technical problems
  • Working with developers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Supporting improvements to migration tools and internal processes
  • Contributing to technical documentation and knowledge resources
  • Assisting with wider internal technical projects where needed

The work follows a structured delivery process, balancing planned migration cycles with opportunities to get involved in wider technical improvement projects.

What We’re Looking For
  • Some experience or training in SQL, C# or .NET
  • Basic understanding of databases and data structures
  • Familiarity with software testing or debugging processes
  • Understanding of object oriented programming concepts
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Exposure to SQL Server, Azure, data migration projects or cloud platforms would be beneficial but is not essential.

Ideal Background

We’d love to hear from:

  • Graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related subjects
  • Candidates who have completed coding bootcamps or technical training programmes
  • Career changers with transferable technical skills or development experience

Commercial experience is not essential, but strong technical aptitude and a genuine interest in technology are important.

Why Join PCS

This is an opportunity to gain hands on technical experience within a growing technology business where your work will have real impact.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project teams, develop practical skills across data and systems projects and gain exposure to technologies used in live customer environments.

It’s a great stepping stone for someone looking to build a longer term career in software engineering, technical operations or professional services.

What We Offer
  • Salary £30,000 to £40,000
  • Modern offices in Guildford
  • 25 days holiday
  • Extra day off for your birthday
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Additional benefits
Final Thought

If you enjoy solving problems, working with technology and learning through hands on experience, this is a great opportunity to join a growing team and build your technical career in a supportive environment.
