We are looking to recruit a Technical Director to join our fantastic South-West Technical team.  The role will see you oversee, develop and effectively manage the performance of the Technical Department. In addition, to advise on planning and technical matters at a strategic regional level. As part of the regional management team and by being an integral part of the land acquisition due diligence process, ensure that the provision of technical and planning advice makes an effective contribution to the evaluation and acquisition of new land and development opportunities.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To provide strategic direction and technical support at regional level
  • To shape and develop a professional team which has a strong work ethic and high reputation both internally and externally
  • To ensure that the Technical Team is creative, innovative, commercially aware and committed to continued professional development 
  • To be responsible for all elements of the design and engineering disciplines within the regional function

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR REQUIREMENTS:
  • Have experience in a similar role, ideally with a volume housebuilder
  • To have a good understand of existing/emerging technical guidance/legislation and to articulate/inform the wider business of the consequences and/or benefits
  • To have vision, good leadership and time management skills and an ability to prioritise ever changing/competing business needs
  • To be able to set clear and unambiguous objectives through clear and decisive instructions
