G MASS are partnering with a leading UK asset manager to appoint a Technical Business Analyst to support a key data transformation within their Distribution function. This role will focus on re engineering client and fund data to deliver scalable, insight led reporting and support sales growth.

Working closely with stakeholders across Distribution, Sales, Strategy and senior leadership, the successful individual will translate business requirements into technical delivery, ensuring data is cleansed, enriched and optimised for Power BI reporting.

The role will play a key part in reducing manual Excel based processes, improving data quality and delivering reporting across client, platform and fund level, while supporting the build out of future state dashboards.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and define Distribution reporting requirements across flows, AUM, revenue, clients, platforms and mandates
  • Translate requirements into data attributes, business rules, transformations and KPIs, producing clear documentation and mappings
  • Analyse data from multiple sources, defining cleansing, de duplication, aggregation and standardisation rules
  • Partner with data and BI teams to ensure data is accurate, consistent and fit for reporting
  • Support the design and rollout of Power BI dashboards across sales, client activity and performance tracking
  • Review existing reporting, retiring outdated metrics and improving usability, access and refresh processes
  • Address historical data gaps and ensure continuity of reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Reduce reliance on manual Excel processes and mitigate data and reporting risks
  • Act as the key link between business and technology teams, facilitating workshops and prioritisation
  • Support UAT, data validation and phased delivery, contributing to future state roadmap definition

Requirements
  • Strong BA experience defining and translating reporting requirements into data and KPI specifications
  • Experience working with multi-source financial or distribution data, including cleansing, standardisation and data quality controls
  • Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools, supporting dashboard delivery and rationalisation of legacy reporting
  • Strong stakeholder management with experience running workshops, supporting UAT and phased delivery
