We are recruiting for two Technical Assistant roles to support our Directors of Commercial Aviation for both the Trent Fleet and Mature Engine Value Stream and the Trent XWB Value Stream.
These roles sit at the heart of the Civil Aerospace business, providing direct exposure to end-to-end value stream leadership and P&L delivery. Working closely with the Directors and their leadership teams, you’ll gain first hand insight into how we drive performance across the product lifecycle, balancing operational delivery, commercial outcomes and long-term strategy.
This is a high impact development opportunity for individual looking to accelerate their careers. You will build enterprise perspective, strengthen commercial and financial acumen, and develop the critical experiences required for future Value Stream or P&L Leadership roles
These roles are predominately based in Derby, with occasional UK travel.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the annual calendar for the team in accordance with the Civil Aerospace Leadership Team (CALT) and Group core meetings preparing presentations, papers and agendas for key meetings and events.
- Capturing, organising and following-up on actions and outcomes from leadership team meetings.
- Preparing monthly CEO Board Report inputs.
- Programme managing key strategic Value Stream priorities including, tracking, updating, reviewing and cascading of key projects and activities. Working collaboratively across the value stream and civil aerospace to ensure an integrated approach.
- Completing day-to-day tasks for the Director – Commercial Aviation and first line as required.
- Supporting the Director – Commercial Aviation and wider leadership team on specific data analyses, project work and preparation of presentations and papers.
- Investigating and providing information on specific areas of interest as requested.
Preferred requirements:
- Commercial acumen and outcome focussed.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated high achievement in their roles to date within the Company.
- Programme Management capability.
- Competence in Microsoft excel to use as a data analytical tool.
- An adaptable and resilient style.
- The ability to work with minimal instruction.
- The successful applicant will join the role for the period of the assignment and on completion would generally move into an appropriate career development opportunity.
