Description

Multi award winning games dialogue specialist SIDE is looking for a Technical Assistant to join its team on a Casual contract. SIDE has been producing best-in-class game audio for over 25 years and built an enviable portfolio and brand. Recent hit releases SIDE have provided dialogue services for include Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Hitman III, Returnal, It Takes Two .

The Technical Assistant plays a key role within the Audio/ Post Production team. As the Technical Assistant you will need to ensure that technical and administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner to support the technical delivery of the specific piece of work or project. You will support the post service helping to ensure the timely completion of agreed deliverables and milestones are meet.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

·       Provide audio support when needed on both audio and video projects in and out of studio.

·       Perform audio editing of dialogue WAV files to a high specification.

·       Ensure quality assurance and delivery of edited dialogue WAV files using in-house tools.

·       Organise, log, and distribute batches to editors and collect them once edited

·       Prepare QA Scripts and where suitable conduct the QA process on the edited batches

·       QA and Prepare edited batches for delivery to clients, and when suitable deliver them

·       Assist the Post-Production Team with their day-to-day tasks wherever possible

·       Collaborate and work seamlessly with the whole of the audio team.

·       Report any issues that might impact progress or quality.

·       Troubleshoot technical issues as required or report any to line managers.

·       Keep the audio assets and logging of equipment up to date.

Requirements
  • Proficient in the following software and tools:
    • WAV file editors (Preferably Audition, Pro Tools and/or Izotope RX)
    • Pro Tools
    • MS Excel
  • Strong interest in audio technology.
  • Good ability in troubleshooting technical and IT issues.
  • Able to adapt and learn new skills and software.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful and a team player who can work well with all levels.
