  • Salary: National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £25,000 to £33,500 and London from £27,500 to £36,000 per annum (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

We regulate financial services firms in the UK, to keep financial markets fair, thriving and effective. By joining us, you’ll play a key part in protecting consumers, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of UK finance services. 

The Authorisations Division is the initial point of contact for firms and individual seeking to provided regulated financial services in the UK. The department brings together Banking and Insurance Authorisation and Early and High Growth Oversight supervision, covering different stages of the firm lifecycle.

This role will provide support a wide range of departmental activities.

Role responsibilities

  • Provide day to day administrative and coordination support to ensure the smooth running of the department

  • Act as a central point of contact for departmental processes supporting effective information flow across teams

  • Manage shared inboxes diaries and meetings ensuring arrangements are well organised and aligned with FCA processes

  • Coordinate meetings and events including agendas papers and practical arrangements

  • Track actions maintain records and coordinate information requests to support operational activity

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activity maintaining accurate records and system access

  • Enable delivery within a department with exposure to a wide range of stakeholders

Skills required 

Minimum:

  • Experience delivering high‑quality administrative or business support within a professional environment

  • Demonstrated organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines effectively

  • Experience coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate records and supporting teams or managers while engaging with internal stakeholders at all levels

Essential:

  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to use systems and tools to track activity and maintain accurate records

  • Sound judgement when handling sensitive information and prioritising requests

  • A collaborative approach, able to handle changing priorities and willingness to support colleagues across the department

  • Hybrid model where employees work a minimum of 40% in the office each month (expectation of 50% for senior leaders). Changing from September to a minimum of 50% in the office each month (expectation of 60% for Directors and Executive Directors)
