The role also involves mentoring colleagues, strengthening analytical and risk-management capabilities, and building constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting consumer protection, market integrity, and competition.

Coordinates the end-to-end integrated planning cycle, including milestones, submissions, governance forums, communications, action tracking, quality assurance, and planning documentation. Maintains planning timetables, dependencies, repositories, trackers, and auditable records. Produces governance packs and guidance, supports divisional planning leads, identifies risks and data-quality issues, and recommends continuous improvements to planning processes, templates, tools, and stakeholder communications.

Define and standardise end-to-end LLM architectures and reusable AI solution patterns. Design data pipelines, RAG, prompt orchestration and CI/CD for safe production deployment. Set monitoring, evaluation and prompt-testing standards. Lead engineering teams, address product/data/security/legal constraints, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver AI solutions for regulatory priorities.

Lead FCA policy development on stablecoins and payment services regulation. Responsibilities include shaping policy proposals, drafting consultations and guidance, engaging with government, regulators, industry and international stakeholders, advising senior management, analyzing information, and supporting major regulatory change initiatives.

Lead organisational performance reporting and management information for senior FCA decision-makers, including the Executive Committee and Board. Develop and maintain automated Tableau dashboards, prepare and visualise complex performance data, establish reporting standards, and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packs. The role also involves stakeholder management across FCA divisions, continuous reporting improvement, and leading, coaching, and developing a small analyst team.

Lead and support complex regulatory and criminal investigations into cryptoassets. Trace and analyse digital asset transactions, shape case strategy, gather evidence, produce reports, manage caseloads, coach junior staff, and contribute to EMO's crypto capability.

Lead payments supervision work at the FCA, providing specialist regulatory insight on payment services and e-money, shaping policy into supervisory action, managing key priorities like safeguarding and financial crime, representing the FCA externally, and coaching colleagues to build departmental capability.

Supervise a portfolio of mortgage intermediary firms: assess business models and risks, plan and deliver supervisory work, engage with firms and senior management, apply supervisory tools, coordinate cross‑team projects, and contribute insight to improve consumer outcomes and regulatory approaches.

Assess firms' financial resilience using deep technical expertise; lead complex regulatory and supervisory initiatives; influence senior stakeholders; coach and develop staff; deliver assessments, presentations, and contribute to policy shaping to reduce consumer and market harm from weaknesses in firms' financial resilience.

Serve as an independent, appointed Panel member representing consumer and small-business interests to the FCA. Provide strategic advice, challenge policy proposals, lead on topic areas (mortgages, retail investments, or retail insurance), contribute to consultations, attend twice-monthly meetings, maintain subject-matter expertise, and commit at least 35 days per year. Role requires strong consumer advocacy, policy experience, analytical and communication skills, UK right-to-work, and passing due diligence and SC-level security vetting.
