We are recruiting for a tax manager to support the Head of Tax on UK and global tax affairs (excluding the USA). The role will be a mix of tax compliance, advisory and audit related work working across multiple taxes. This is a great opportunity for someone to make their first move in house from practice or take a step into a broader tax role from an existing in house position. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Head of Tax and advisors with the preparation and review of UK tax compliance 
  • Supporting advisors globally with data requests and relevant information to support tax compliance
  • Managing and monitoring the tax filing & payments calendar
  • Supporting with indirect tax, reliefs and incentives and other areas of tax that may arise
  • Working with finance teams to produce data required for tax returns 
  • Supporting the Head of Tax with tax audits globally
  • Supporting the Finance team with year end tax accounting
  • Assisting the Head of Tax with global advisory projects and tax saving initiatives
  • Maintaining working knowledge of UK tax regulations
  • Managing tax risk through good governance and identifying and implementing process improvements

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A professional qualification in accounting or tax (ACA/CTA)
  • Good technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with global stakeholders
  • 2-3 years post qualification experience gained in industry or practice (experienced assistant manager/manager level)
  • Experience of multiple taxes would be useful but is not essential
