International Tax Manager – 15mth Fixed Term Contract / Dec 2025

Reporting to the Head of Tax

London based with Hybrid working – min of 2 days in the office

The role:

We are seeking a motivated professional for this new International Tax Manager position. This position requires a team player that is knowledgeable, accountable, and highly organised to fulfil the numerous deliverable requirements while producing accurate and timely results.

We are experiencing unprecedented pace of change in the tax arena, as jurisdictions globally respond to the OECD’s Global Minimum Tax proposals. We are implementing new system functionality, dealing with a number of key projects, whilst ensuring we continue to meet core financial reporting and compliance obligations and maintaining a high standard of support to the business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a subject matter expert for Tax in general and Pillar 2 Global Minium Tax / Bermuda Corporate Income Tax for internal stakeholders across the business
  • Work with Finance and Tax colleagues to design/redesign relevant tax activities including tax return preparation, filing, reporting, payments and scheduling
  • Acting as advisor for the business on queries related to or impacting the Group’s corporate tax profile
  • Business partner to our Bermuda jurisdiction with the introduction of Bermuda Corporate Income Tax
  • Work with Tax colleagues to implement and maintain internal controls in your areas of responsibility and insure processes are properly documented
  • Liaise with colleagues, third party advisors, external auditors, and tax authorities on tax provision, compliance, planning and other issues
  • Assist with other ad hoc requests within the Tax and Group Financial Reporting teams which may include:
    • Providing sundry advice to the business for any VAT-related queries
    • Ad-hoc support for on-going project work
  • Tax analysis and advice for projects such as new business ventures, M&A, restructuring, etc
  • Contribute to Group strategic planning, tax risk management and change

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Professional qualification in Tax, Accounting or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience of working in Tax in Financial Services (from industry and/or consultancy). Those with less years but the right level of knowledge will naturally be considered
  • Extensive technical and practical knowledge of corporate tax and tax accounting required
  • Management experience required, with corporate culture awareness and leadership qualities in the specialised area
  • Must be detail and results-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent organisation and follow-up skills including ability to handle competing priorities and meet all commitments
  • Possess strong technical computer proficiency including skills in Microsoft Office suites and tax software

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in Tax a plus
  • Experience using Oracle ERP
  • Insurance experience
  • Experience of working on projects
