The Role
We have an opportunity for a motivated, inquisitive and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our tax team.
As a Tax Analyst, you will support the tax team across a broad range of UK and international tax matters, with a primary focus on tax reporting, compliance, data analysis and operational tax processes, alongside opportunities to support advisory and project work. The role is hands-on and deadline-driven, reflecting statutory reporting and tax requirements. Whilst predominantly direct tax focused, you will also support indirect tax matters, enabling you to build a broad, well-rounded and commercially relevant tax skillset.
The role is ideal for an early-career tax professional looking to develop their tax technical expertise and experience across tax disciplines. Working closely with experienced tax professionals across the team, you will work in a collaborative team environment and benefit from regular guidance, mentoring and support.
Our tax function is evolving to meet the challenges of a fast-paced, dynamic and growing international business whilst strengthening capabilities in response to increasing governance, compliance and control requirements. As a result, this role offers an exciting opportunity to develop alongside the business, gaining greater exposure to increasingly complex tax matters and taking on greater responsibility as your career progresses.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the global compliance calendar to ensure all filing, payment and other regulatory obligations are met on time.
  • Assist with the preparation of the UK R&D tax credit claim, including extracting and analysing data from finance systems.
  • Support the roll forward, preparation and standardisation of interim and year-end tax reporting calculations.
  • Assist with Transfer Pricing compliance, such as documentation and quarterly calculation reviews.

Indirect Tax
  • Assist with the preparation of periodic indirect tax returns, both UK and international.
  • Produce, analyse and validate data to support the monthly US sales tax returns and other indirect tax compliance, including the EU EC Sales List, One Stop Shop and Intrastat filings.
  • Verify and maintain customer sales tax exemption certificates.

General Tax Team Support
  • Prepare tax-related forms and apply for HMRC Certificates of Residence and Certificates of Compliance.
  • Assist with tax authority correspondence, including drafting responses, preparing supporting information and liaising with tax authorities where required.
  • Ensure timely processing of tax payments and refunds, liaising with the Treasury and Finance teams.
  • Prepare draft tax journals and tax-related balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform quarterly reviews of US state tax portals, ensuring consistency with tax-related balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Raise and monitor purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Maintain tax fee trackers, monitoring invoices against agreed budgets and approved purchase orders to ensure accurate cost control and timely processing.
  • Monitor the tax team’s shared email inbox and physical post, responding to or redirecting correspondence as appropriate.
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date tax records.
  • Contribute ideas to reduce manual work and improve tax processes and efficiency, including the use of technology.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tax, treasury and finance projects as required.
