The opportunity
Join our expert team at Hitachi Energy and help shape the future of energy transmission. As a System Verification Engineer, you’ll work with cutting-edge embedded systems and contribute to the development of our MACH™ control system — the heart of HVDC stations that power long-distance electricity transmission with minimal loss.
Over 60 years ago, Hitachi Energy revolutionized long-distance electricity transmission with High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) technology. Today, HVDC systems can deliver up to 12 gigawatts of power at voltages reaching 1,100 kV, spanning distances of over 3,000 kilometers — making it one of the most efficient solutions for global energy transfer.
At the core of every HVDC station lies the Modular Advanced Control for HVDC (MACH™) system — a highly sophisticated control and protection platform. MACH™ offers exceptional computational power and seamless integration of all control functions. It features advanced fault registration, remote control capabilities, and is engineered to operate 24/7 for over 30 years, ensuring unmatched reliability throughout the system’s lifetime.
As a System Verification Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the continued success of MACH™, contributing to its evolution and helping maintain its position as a global benchmark in HVDC control systems.
