About the opportunity
At Ericsson, we turn bold technology ideas into the communication solutions that connect the world. We are looking for dedicated and skilled System Designers who are passionate about inventing, realizing and evaluating the technologies shaping the future of mobile communication.
You will join Technology Testbeds within AI & Technology Foresight, part of Business Area Networks. We explore state-of-the-art technologies and concepts in practice before they become products.
Our work sits at the intersection of research and product development. We build prototypes using advanced hardware and software design tools, create opportunities for patents, influence technology roadmap decisions and bridge the gap between research and product realization. Our focus areas include radio design, signal processing, AI/ML, software, emerging technologies and compute platforms.
What you will do
• Contribute to projects covering concept and algorithm design, software architecture and distributed-system design.• Work with systems that combine real-time and asynchronous behaviour.• Design platforms ranging from hardware-near software to scalable, high-level software.• Focus on one or more areas while understanding and contributing across the complete system.• Quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.• Build, integrate and demonstrate complete systems, not just individual components.• Lead and participate in technical studies, design activities and integration efforts.• Invent, develop and apply new concepts and algorithms.• Collaborate across disciplines to turn complex ideas into elegant, working solutions.
Skills you bring
• A PhD, or an MSc with a few years of relevant work experience, in telecommunications, software, signal processing, data science or a related field.• A proven ability to solve challenging problems using engineering, technology and creativity.• Strong analytical thinking, curiosity and the ability to learn quickly.• A passion for elegant and simple solutions to complex technical challenges.• The aptitude to lead technical work and influence direction.• Effective collaboration, clear communication of technical concepts and a commitment to knowledge sharing.• A quality-focused approach to problem-solving.
