  • Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


1. Mission:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is a key leadership role within the finance division of Sportradar. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader and business partner with a strong financial acumen and a proven ability to drive financial performance and operational growth.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the FP&A function, driving financial strategy, and providing insights and analysis to facilitate decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. The SVP FP&A will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s financial and business future while ensuring its financial health and sustainability.
2. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and financial modelling.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial and business insights to the operating leaders and executive team to support decision-making and business growth.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-range plans, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Conduct in-depth financial and business analysis, including variance and trend analytics, scenario planning, and sensitivity evaluations.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, providing regular reports and actionable insights to senior management.

Business Partnership:

  • Partner with business leaders across the organization to understand financial implications of business activities and support operational decision-making.
  • Act as a financial advisor to the executive team, providing guidance on investments, cost management, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial discipline and optimize performance.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, in compliance with IFRS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to support month-end and year-end close processes.

Support the investor relations function in the preparation of earnings materials and investor communications

  • Maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance FP&A capabilities, including the implementation of advanced financial tools and technologies.

Qualifications

3. Qualifications:
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of success in a dynamic industry(technology, media, consumer goods or sports are a plus)
  • Experience with financial systems, data analytics, and enterprise performance management (EPM) software.


Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and best practices.

- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required.
- Work Environment:** This role is based in London and will require travel to the U.S. and Switzerland
