An exciting opportunity awaits you as Supply Chain Performance and Forecast Analyst in our Rolling Stock team, supporting both Cross-Channel (e300 and e320) and Continental (PBA and PBKA) fleets.

This is a critical role within the Supply Chain function, requiring a deep understanding of supply chain operations in a complex, asset‑intensive environment. The Supply Chain Performance and Forecast Analyst provides advanced, data‑driven insight and strategic analysis to support effective decision‑making across Materials, Stores and Procurement. The role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of supply chain and supplier KPIs, performance reporting and dashboards; analysing availability, forecast accuracy, inventory and service levels; and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the end‑to‑end supply chain.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance and IT, the analyst plays a key role in shaping forecasting and replenishment strategies, ensuring data integrity, influencing financial outcomes, and embedding a data‑led, performance‑driven culture across the business.

This is a permanent role is based at our Temple Mills depot in Leyton. There may be a requirement to be on-call for this role.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone to:

  • Lead the development and delivery of supply chain and supplier performance reporting, including KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, scorecards and in‑depth ad‑hoc analysis.
  • Design and implement analytical tools and methodologies to enhance supply chain visibility, support decision‑making and drive measurable performance improvement.
  • Analyse supplier and supply chain performance across availability, OTIF, service levels, repair turnaround times and forecast accuracy, proactively identifying risks, root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Own and continuously improve forecasting and replenishment processes for train spares, optimising planning tools and influencing supply planning strategies in collaboration with Supply Chain Planners.
  • Provide high‑quality, actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders across Materials, Stores and Procurement to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the coordination and analysis of stocktakes across multiple locations, driving corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy, control and working capital performance.
  • Own the integrity, governance and continuous improvement of supply chain master data, implementing robust audit frameworks and data quality standards.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful supply chain reporting for Finance, including monthly financial performance, variance analysis and forecasting inputs.
  • Act as a key senior interface between Supply Chain and IT, championing data quality, system optimisation and the effective use of analytics across the supply chain community.

You'll need...

  • Significant, demonstrable experience (at least 5 years) in a supply chain, logistics or materials management environment within a complex, asset‑intensive or engineering‑led organisation.
  • Proven track record of driving supply chain performance improvements through data analysis, insight generation and stakeholder influence.
  • Strong, practical understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes, including forecasting, demand planning, replenishment, inventory management and supplier performance management.
  • Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, commercially relevant insights and recommendations.
  • A good understanding of rolling stock maintenance requirements is desirable, including parts categories and how trainsets operate (high‑speed rail knowledge also desirable).
  • Advanced analytical capability, with expertise in Excel and Power BI (SQL desirable), and the ability to work with large, complex datasets with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong leadership behaviours, including ownership, resilience and accountability, with the ability to operate independently, prioritise effectively and deliver in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Language skills: Advanced English (essential) and business-level French (desirable).
