Job Description

What You’ll Do

Primark is embarking on an exciting period of growth and transformation, and this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that supply chain is ready to meet both current and future demands, to high standards for both online fulfilment (through Click and Collect) and retail distribution design.

As part of the newly formed Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) team, reporting to the SCS Programme Manager within the Supply Chain Development function, the role will involve close collaboration with colleagues across Digital Retail, Finance, Inbound, Logistics, Procurement and Technology. The scope includes delivering innovation and automation initiatives, supporting the continued growth of our omnichannel and eCommerce operations, and helping define the supply chain solutions of the future.

The successful candidate will lead key workstreams and projects focused on optimising and enhancing our logistics network, supply chain capabilities and future distribution facilities. They will play an important role in delivering strategic growth, operational resilience, cost efficiency and scalability across the end-to-end supply chain.

  • Support the development and implementation of fulfilment and distribution network projects that drive capacity, efficiency, scalability and business growth.
  • Lead the analysis of operational and financial data to identify improvement opportunities, develop capacity plans and support investment decisions.
  • Design and implement future-state logistics processes across inbound, storage, picking, packing, returns and outbound operations.
  • Deliver automation and operational improvement initiatives, working with internal teams and external partners to implement innovative fulfilment solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects and workstreams from concept through to implementation, maintaining plans, budgets, risks, governance and stakeholder updates.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, Property, Depot Investment and Retail to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support testing, commissioning and operational readiness activities, ensuring new solutions are safe, effective and aligned to business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement, governance and cost management activities, delivering measurable benefits in productivity, service, utilisation and operational performance.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in project management, solutions design or operational. improvement within fulfilment, logistics or supply chain environments.
  • Experience delivering operational change, automation or network projects.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse, fulfilment and distribution operations.
  • Experience managing multiple project workstreams simultaneously.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar AEC design software is advantageous.
  • Project management qualification (APMP, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent) desirable.
