Verition’s Summer Internship Program – Margin and Liquidity.
Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Credit, Fixed Income & Macro, Convertible & Volatility Arbitrage, Event-Driven, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets, and Quantitative Strategies.
As part of our 10-week internship program, you’ll work closely with the Margin and Liquidity team to enhance your skill set and apply your studies to a wide variety of projects. Our program provides ample opportunities to learn about alternative investments, gain hands-on experience, and contribute meaningfully to a fast-growing firm.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in finance, economics, financial engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, or related field of study.
- Elementary knowledge of financial products across a multi-asset universe (equities, repo, securities lending, swaps, and derivatives), including core mechanics and associated market, liquidity, and funding risks
- Strong Excel skills with exposure to Python/R/C++/SQL to support and build analytical tools for daily cash, margin, and liquidity reporting.
- Solid understanding of prime brokerage, margin/collateral, and settlement mechanics across multi-strategy portfolios
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated interest in hedge funds/financial services.
- Intellectually curious, self-motivated, and collaborative individuals.
Salary for this role is $40 per hour.
