About the role
A Strategy Director at Kyriba is a high-impact operator responsible for shaping, pressure-testing, and operationalizing Kyriba’s growth strategy
Partnering directly with the CSTO, ELT, and cross-functional leaders (Product, GTM, Finance, Customer, Partnerships, and Technology), you will lead strategic initiatives in our value creation plan from hypothesis to execution. Examples include market expansion, product and platform strategy, strategic partnerships/M&A, pricing/packaging evolution, and AI roadmap
You’ll join a small and dynamic strategy team and have influence in prioritising the topics you work on.
The ideal candidate will combine structured thinking with pragmatic execution and will be comfortable in details and data, as well as synthesis and executive communication.
What you’ll do
1. Strategic Initiatives (~50-60%)
Drive the planning and execution of 1-2 of the company’s highest-priority strategic initiatives, focusing on those that require cross-functional collaboration
Work with functional leaders on their own strategic initiatives, providing problem solving support, external perspective / market research, identifying dependencies, and helping to de-bottleneck
Work with the business on an annual VCP / Strategic Plan refresh, ensuring alignment across different business functions - and light touch PMO (milestone tracking)
Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure that strategy and key initiatives align with financial objectives, including input into the annual budgeting and financial planning processes
2. Governance & Board Engagement (20%)
Prepare crisp narratives for XCO and Board: strategy updates, scenario plans, operating reviews, and investment cases.
Create executive-ready materials—dashboards, models, and storytelling that drive decisions and alignment.
3. Corporate Development and M&A (~20-30% to start, significantly more when a deal comes into play)
Support the CSTO in the overall strategic agenda, and feed into the M&A framework (which will be maintained by a Corp Dev analyst)
Support the company on highest priority strategic partnerships and/or M&A processes as they arise
What you bring
Experience including:
Top-tier strategy/management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, or BizOps in SaaS/fintech/enterprise software.
Proven track record leading multi-quarter, cross-functional strategic programs to measurable outcomes.
Deep familiarity with SaaS / Fintech business models
Excellence in structured problem solving, financial modeling, market sizing, and executive storytelling.
Strong operator: can turn strategy into plans, plans into roadmaps, and roadmaps into results.
Influential leader and trusted partner to executives; low-ego, high-ownership, collaborative style.
Bachelor’s degree required
Nice to Have
One or more of: treasury, cash management, bank connectivity, payments, risk & compliance, working capital, ERP ecosystems.
Experience with pricing/packaging overhauls for enterprise SaaS.
Exposure to AI/ML applications in finance operations.
M&A pipeline screening, commercial/tech diligence, or integration planning.
Global experience across North America, EMEA, and/or APAC.
