We’re hiring for a Gaming Strategy Director to join our Team in London.

Purpose of the Role

The Gaming Strategy Director will focus on endemic gaming clients (game publishers and studios) and support dentsu’s entities in crafting GTM strategies for various studios and gaming titles. This role also advises non-endemic gaming clients on engaging authentically with gaming culture to drive meaningful impact and value through gaming initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish Go-To-Market Strategies: 
  • Define overall marketing strategy for games, including positioning, goals, and media budget. 
  • Drive media strategy discussions, including audience segments, key messaging, and visual identity. 
  • Articulate and document strategies, briefs, and marketing approaches. 
  • Outline goals and narrative for each milestone across a game title release. 
  • Client Pitches & Strategic Projects: 
  • Lead gaming strategy in client pitches and throughout campaigns/projects. 
  • Develop POVs on gaming trends and leverage dentsu’s market position. 
  • Adapt strategies to various audience segments and markets. 
  • Market Trends & Data: 
  • Conduct ongoing research into gaming trends, audience behaviors, and competitor activities. 
  • Stay informed on the latest gaming developments and integrate insights into strategic planning. 
  • Collaborate with global teams to explore and cover relevant strategic opportunities. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
  • Partner with media, creative, and investment teams on key account decisions. 
  • Support thought leadership and strategic materials development for the gaming team. 

Qualifications + Skills

  • Experience in game publishing/marketing. 
  • Experience across multiple game marketing functions, including community management and user acquisition. 
  • Strong analytical and first-principle thinking skills. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to adapt to international working culture and collaborate across time zones. 
  • Creative thinker with a high sense of responsibility.

This is a permanent role 

The team is based in our London office but operates under flexible working arrangements. The team are currently in the office every Tuesday and Thursday.
